Very Poor customer service
I have purchased several websites with godaddy, as well as a dedicated server, and have found that the customer service is horrible. Just recently, I requested that they send a letter to my bank stating that I have made timely payments for 1 year or more, so that I may purchase a home. I went through 3 levels of supervision and was told that they won't, not can't, help me out. I don't think that a letter is too much to ask considering I spend over $1,000 per year on their services. I will be looking elsewhere in the future. Review Added on: 2009-03-03

GoDaddy is horrible
I support several commercial websites across various hosting companies (inc. hostcentric, northnet, bluehost and godaddy). Out of the companies that are in the top tier for webhosting GoDaddy is practically negligent with there service. The most fundamental example is that the ID to administer the site has full email capability. That means if you have someone in charge of the website, they can also read, without logging or tracking, everyone in the companys email. There is a poor concept of user IDs setup for dealing with the account.
The list of disappointments with GoDaddy is long and can be summarized with bad technical support, certain features cost money, no delineation on what features are compatible with your hosting account (e.g. no CLI access without a dedicated service, etc).
Out of my experience, bluehost is hands down the best service out there and theyre nice to work with!

godaddy is not big deal
I am satisfied with the hosting service. It is true that once you buy, they say that will cost you more if you want to do something else. And when you make small changes, sometimes take several minutes. Review Added on: 2008-12-03
